Private tutor in Euless, TX
University of Texas at Dallas - B.S, B.S., Biology and Neuroscience
The process of learning is especially hard without concerted effort and vested interest. In this way, I motivate students to become interested and excited about learning. I've realized, as a result of my own experiences as a student, that teaching strategies need to move beyond the conventional. Conceptual thinking and visual aids have been helpful for me in my learning process. I try to help my students understand the ways they learn best, so they can develop their own techniques that fit their style and strengths. I'm currently enrolled at the University of Texas-Dallas, where I will graduate in the spring with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. I've already received a bachelor's degree in Biology. I've worked as a tutor since I was in high school, initially teaching Math. I've since tutored more advanced Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and test preparation skills and content (ACT, SAT, MCAT, PCAT, etc.). I've written and revised questions for the MCAT and PCAT, as well. Currently, I'm a teaching assistant in Anatomy and Physiology at UT-Dallas. I particularly love tutoring Science and Math. I really enjoy Neuroscience, Organic Chemistry, and Anatomy because of how visual and spatial these subjects are. In my spare time, I'm an athlete, and I love to play football, soccer, and golf. I also enjoy swimming, walks, playing darts, reading, and playing the drums.
