With almost twelve years of teaching experience, I have worked in various public and private schools. I aid in academic/social skill development in a private setting and can tutor in most subjects. Reading, writing, and math at the elementary and middle school level are my strongest areas but I also tutor advanced reading and writing with high school students. I love it when a student's face lights up as they explore adventures within a story. A tutor and also a collaborator, I work with a student to understand how they learn, which goes towards building their academic and social confidence. I believe helping one learn requires working with them one-to-one on an individual level.I graduated Howard Payne University and have a Bachelor of Science in Christian Education. My focus was in youth ministry. Currently, I am working on my master's in Counseling Psychology, so my own education continues as I serve as a guide and mentor for my tutees. Based in Euless, Texas, I have a profound interest in neuroscience, functional (chiropractic) neurology, and neuropsychology. The quality time I spend outside school, teaching, and serving as a tutor is used for oil painting, reading, and relaxing with my husband.
