Experience
I earned my bachelor's degree in computer science from UT. Although my educational and work backgrounds are in software development, I have a strong desire to give back to my community. I truly enjoy helping students get excited about education and develop a clear idea about what kind of career they want to pursue. Once they know what they want once they are out of school, it often becomes easier for them to focus on the classes that will help them achieve their career goals. I especially like tutoring students in math and computer science courses. I have tutored and mentored many students over the past four years. It gives me a great sense of accomplishment and pride when I am able to witness them achieving their goals. Over the years it has become apparent that the reason many students are struggling with their current coursework is because they did not have a solid foundation on the fundamental principles. Without this foundation it is virtually impossible to grasp the more complicated concepts one encounters, especially in math and computer science. Some of the courses I tutor include algebra 1 & 2, calculus 1-3, competition math, differential equations, elementary and middle school math, trigonometry, AP and IB courses, linear algebra, statistics, physics, grammar and mechanics, literature, computer science, algorithms, Java, C++, and science.
